What is SRVCPTA?

The San Ramon Valley Council of PTAs is the next organizational level of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA) beyond the school site or unit level. Our council represents all 34 school PTAs and PTSAs in the San Ramon Valley Unified School District. Four of our middle schools and all of our high school organizations include students, which is why they are Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSAs)

Council meetings are generally held on the second Wednesday of each month and are attended by the presidents, executive VP, or other delegates from all 35 PTA units and the council executive board, which includes our SRVUSD Superintendent. These meetings are held in the Board Room at the SRVUSD Education Center (or district offices), 699 Old Orchard Dr, Danville, 94526.

The PTA is a noncommercial, nonsectarian and nonpartisan organization.

What does the Council do?

We provide educational opportunities for parents, educators, and community members, legislative information and events, training for PTA officers, communication to and from school district administrators, and coordination of a variety of programs for the school sites. We also award scholarships to one graduating student from each of the district high schools. San Ramon Valley Council is a member of the 32nd District PTA, which is the Contra Costa County-level PTA organization, as well as California State PTA and the National PTA.
