Registration Committee



We created the SRVCPTA Registration Committee to provide registration support and financial oversight for our SRVUSD school unit PTAs. Our committee goals include the following items:

  • Establish and encourage best practices to achieve donation goals, meet registration deadlines, and maintain efficient use of volunteer time.

  • Provide guidelines on ‘Three-Pronged Approach’ for shared registration responsibilities between PTA unit, SRVEF affiliate, and school staff.

  • Continue to share, evaluate and discuss registration operations throughout our council.

  • Promote registration as a tool to encourage family engagement and PTA membership enrollment.

  • Create and maintain a consistent source of registration information, including contacts for systems, service providers, unit registration chairs, guidelines on division of tasks, and suggested timelines.

  • Provide a forum for registration questions, problem solving, and solutions.

  • Offer support for registration planning and implementation.

  • Report back to SRVUSD Technology Committee on what systems are being utilized by our parent organizations.



  • The ABCs of Student Directory Information is about why a school would want to use student directory information and the types of information that fall into this category. It also explains the process that schools and districts must adhere to when designating directory information. ( 3:25 minutes)

  • School Volunteers and FERPA is about knowing your role in protecting student information while helping out in your school. The video explains some of a volunteer's responsibilities to help keep the student information they work with private and secure.
